Flower Care Instructions: How to keep your bouquet fresh & beautiful
-
Step 1: Unwrap with care
Remove all wrapping, paper, or ribbons from around the stems. Leave any decorative ribbon thatβs tied above the waterline.
-
Step 2: Trim the stems
Using sharp scissors or floral shears, cut Β½β1 inch off each stem at a 45-degree angle. This helps flowers drink water more easily.
Β Tip: Re-cut stems every 2β3 days.
-
Step 3: Use a clean vase
Wash your vase with soap and warm water before filling. Bacteria is the #1 reason flowers donβt last.
-
Step 4: Add fresh water + flower food
Fill the vase with room-temperature water and add the flower food provided. If no flower food is available, change the water daily.
-
Step 5: Remove leaves below the waterline
Any leaves sitting in water will rot and shorten the life of your bouquet.
-
Step 6: Find the right spot
Place flowers in a cool area, away from:
β’ direct sunlight
β’ heat sources
β’ drafts
β’ fruit (it releases gases that age flowers faster)
-
Step 7: Repeat regularly
Every 2 days:
β’ Change the water
β’ Clean the vase if needed
β’ Re-cut stems
β’ Remove any wilted blooms
-
Bonus tips from our florist
β’ Roses may arrive tightβthis is normal and helps them last longer
β’ Some flowers naturally shed petals (this does not mean theyβre old)
β’ Keep arrangements away from overnight cold drafts or heat vents
